Urgent!

Jubilee's big eyes are sad and woeful right now. So far, her short life of only six months has been one of absolute misery and enormous hunger. If ever there was a pup that needs and deserves loving, Jubilee does. She is severely underweight and malnourished at only 26½ pounds. She hasn't much interest in treats, cookies, peanut butter, cheese, or hamburger — things that normally drive dogs wild. She simply has been hungry for so long that she has lost her interest / knowledge in eating anything. Imagine being so hungry that you would have to re-learn to eat.

In spite of her miserable start to life, she is sweet and gentle.

Sponsors Needed!

We'd like to say that Jubilee is on the road to recovery — but today, Thursday, 10/16, she was hospitalized due to pneumonia and is on IV fluids.

If Jubilee is going to fight this and her miserable past, we need to be able to finance her recovery. Will you make a donation and sponsor Jubilee?

Update

Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and hugs for Jubilee, a Dalmatian-mix puppy who was starved and came down with pneumonia. We are happy to report tonight that as of today, 10/24, she has been removed from the isolation room at the hospital and is eating well. She continues to receive humidifier treatments and take antibiotics as there is still fluid in her lungs — and she is coughing a lot, but she is now as bouncy and curious as a 5-month old pup should be. She should be ready for her spay in another couple of weeks — and then will be adoption ready!!

Thank you!

Established in 2004, Second Chances Dalmatian Rescue is a 501 c (3) non-profit organization. It is made up of a network of foster homes and volunteers who work to rescue abused, abandoned, unwanted and homeless Dalmatians. Priority is given to those Dalmatians who are in the greatest danger of being euthanized in area shelters. The organization will also work to promote responsible pet ownership, spay and neuter programs, and community education. We will ensure quality of life for family pets by seeking safe, loving and caring homes when placing Dalmatians.

Second Chances Dalmatian Rescue does not have a physical location. We are made up of volunteers who take these dogs into our homes where they become part of the family. Because we are all volunteers, many with full time jobs, we will make every effort to respond to your inquiry within 48 hours.

Second Chances Dalmatian Rescue is a tax-exempt organization, and we depend on monetary donations to help cover all of the costs of rescuing and caring for our foster dogs. Any amount, no matter how small is appreciated. If you would like to make a donation, please click on the button below. For more information on the benefits of donating, please visit our Help the Dals page.

You can also help support Second Chances Dalmatian Rescue by shopping in our Spot Shoppe. We have a wide variety of items avaialble in which the proceeds go directly to the rescue.

While we don't have a physical location, we do attend many adoption events in OH, MI & TX. Please see the Events section of our website to see where we will be.
